The high-octane music of THE HOT ROD TRIO began in 1991. Members Buddy Dughi, Suzy Dughi, and Pete Bonny enjoy playing all forms of rockabilly music, whether it's a revved-up hot rod song, a traditional finger-pickin' tune, a danceable swing number, or a crazy psychobilly song.

The band actually had its beginning with Buddy on guitar and singing, Pete on drums, and Steve Herney on slap bass. In 1988, they cut a record (on pink vinyl) entitled "Cruisin' all Night."  In 1989, they were the national winning act on CBS's The Gong Show, under judges Mr. T, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jacko, and the Barbarian Brothers.

When Steve had to leave the band to go off to college, the search for a bass player began, and Suzy fit in perfectly with her looks, playing and singing ability, and style. The same trio has been together ever since.
Based in Orange County, California, THE HOT ROD TRIO has been consistently tearing up California and the West Coast. They've released two CDs, have been featured in many magazine articles, and have had some television exposure. Their live shows are very dynamic and memorable. They look forward to seeing you at their shows, supporting live rockabilly music.
